Orthopedic Surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. An evaluation with an orthopedic surgeon consists of several components:

  • Medical History – The orthopedic surgeon will gather information about general health, extent of pain & ability to function

  • Physical Examination – This will assess the various movements, stability, strength and overall clinical condition

  • Radiology Investigations – These will help assess the extent of damage and / or deformity of the underlying bone

  • Other Investigations – Blood Tests & some additional investigations that may be required to determine the modality of management required
