Some key investigations routinely performed at the Laboratory include:

• Complete Blood Counts – it is done to evaluate general health and detect a wide array of conditions – acute & chronic – including anemia, infections and cancer. It is also performed for prognostic evaluation to monitor the patient’s health condition and response to medication being administered.
   

• Lipid Profile – a measure of the lipid levels of the body, this test is performed to assess the levels of cholesterol in the body and is thereby an important indicator of the risk of cardiac conditions
   

• Liver Profile – the parameters investigated assist to diagnose and monitor conditions affecting the liver. The liver profile is a computation of measuring levels of certain enzymes and proteins in the body.
   

• Kidney Profile – parameters like creatinine, urea nitrogen, etc. are assessed to diagnose and monitor conditions related to the kidneys. The profile forms an important assessment mode for patients on dialysis care in view of underlying chronic kidney diseases.
   

• Thyroid Profile – assessing levels of thyroid hormone levels in the body forms an important aspect of treating chronic conditions. T3, T4 and TSH form the triad of thyroid profile regularly done for patients having deranged values.
   

• Blood Glucose Levels – patients suffering from deranged levels of blood sugars require regular assessment of their blood glucose levels including the average three-month parameter – glycosylated hemoglobin (Hb1Ac).
   

• Urine Analysis – Urine Analysis is a test that evaluates the urine sample and is used to detect and assess a wide range of disorders, such as urinary tract infection, kidney disease and diabetes. Abnormal results of a urinalysis often require more testing and evaluation to uncover the source of the problem.
