Cosmetology

Cosmetology is the department where specialists strive to correct many kinds of facial and body abnormalities caused by ageing, trauma, disease, burns, or birth defects. Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery is performed on individuals to functionally correct and improves one’s appearance. With the latest techniques and specialist’s medical prowess, a lot of cosmetic procedures can be carried out, such as cleft repairing to reconstruct a fractured body part. Other aesthetic surgery procedures are for the body and facial contouring: Breast Reduction Surgery, Tummy Tuck, Nose Reshaping, Facial Implants, Breast Enlargement/ Implant, Wrinkle Fillers, Hair Repair Surgery, Eyebrow Lift and Eyelid Surgery.

Medical Conditions and Treatment:

  • Gynecomastia – Male breasts that are enlarged can be surgically corrected by removing excess fat, tissue or skin for a better proportioned, masculine-contoured upper body.

  • Androgenic Alopecia – Hair is surgically removed from a donor, split into micro-grafts and transplanted into the receiver’s scalp.

  • Varicose Veins – A surgery is performed for diseases like these and is managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter procedures, and plastic surgical reconstruction.

  • Abdominoplasty – Also known as Tummy Tuck, it flattens the belly by removing extra fat and skin and tightening the muscles in the abdominal wall. This is especially for weight loss surgery patients or women who have a slack abdomen after pregnancy.

  • Dimple Creation – A small painless slit is made on the inside of the cheek to create a dimple. A small absorbent suture is passed through the inside of the cheek where the dimple is wanted. The linkage between the inner skin and muscle makes a dimple even after the suture is absorbed.

  • Leukoderma / Vitiligo – Absence of melanin pigmentation causes white patches on the skin. These can be removed with surgical medical treatment, ‘melanocyte transfer’ that restores the pigmentation.
